Dr Karlijn Clarysse is a European board-certified Dermatologist, trained extensively both
overseas and domestic. She is currently focusing on the evaluation and treatment of skin-
and hair disorders via tele dermatology.

Dr Clarysse received her medical degree (MD) at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL),
Belgium, in 2015. She subsequently did her Dermatology Residency at the University
hospital of Brussels under chairman Prof Dr J. Gutermuth. She was then appointed as a
short-term locum consultant Dermatologist in Aruba prior the start of her Dermatology
fellowship in London, United Kingdom.

Dr. Clarysse successfully completed a 1-year skin tumour fellowship at the prestigious St
John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, UK, gaining further experience in the
management of skin cancer. She subsequently completed a second 1-year fellowship
focusing on hair loss disorders under the renowned hair expert Prof. Dr. R. Sinclair in
Melbourne, Australia. At present, she is gaining further experience in cosmetic dermatology
via the Canadian Board of Aesthetic medicine (CBAM) in Toronto, Canada.

Dr Clarysse’s area of expertise for tele dermatology include: acne/rosacea, cutaneous
infections, skin rashes/eczema, (hyper/hypo) pigmentation, anti-aging/skin care advice,
hyperhidrosis, mole check (conditions apply), patterned hair loss (AGA), hair-and scalp
disorders, alopecia areata and nail fungus. Dr Clarysse is unable to prescribe
immunosuppressive medications or biologics requiring in person visits.
